Faraday Grid appoints former Green Investment Bank Operations Director Rob Cormie as Chief Operating Officer

Systems design company Faraday Grid Limited has appointed former Green Investment Bank Group Operations Director Rob Cormie as its Chief Operating Officer.

Rob was instrumental in setting up and running the Green Investment Bank where he was Group Operations Director until 2015.

Speaking on his appointment, Rob said: “I’m delighted to be joining Faraday Grid. Our approach to improve the energy sector has the potential to fundamentally alter the way we manage and consume electricity in the future. It’s an exciting challenge and I’m looking forward to adding my experience to what is already an extremely strong team.”

Andrew Scobie, Executive Chairman of Faraday Grid Limited, added: “Faraday Grid focuses on system design to address the world’s greatest challenges. One of these is the power network which is no longer fit for purpose and demands a complete re-think. This is where our potentially revolutionary approach and technology come in. It is tremendous that Rob has come on board and together we can contribute to building an energy system fit for centuries to come.”

Faraday Grid will be demonstrating its prototype later this year and launching its first product in 2018.
