Hiring Now - People Business Partner

The Opportunity

We are looking for a People Business Partner to be based in our Washington DC office on a full-time basis. Reporting to the COO, you will be the People representative for the US business, with responsibility for the full operational HR remit. You will collaborate with the People BP in the UK to develop progressive people practices and initiatives which will support the business as it evolves, and ensure sustainable prosperity for our own employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility and accountability for the full employee lifecycle in the US business.

  • Play a key role in establishing the new office by bringing in talented people and supporting them towards becoming high performing teams.

  • Build and optimise people practices to ensure we continue to attract and develop exceptional talent, including being hands on with candidate management and onboarding.

  • Collaborate with the UK People BP to implement a combined HRIS and ATS and develop related processes and policies. Use the data this provides to make insight-led decisions and continuously improve our people practices.

  • Advise and support leaders on People matters, demonstrating the ability to see situations through different lenses.

  • Liaise with, and source where required, reliable providers and partners for payroll, employee benefits and immigration advice.

  • Is qualified in HR with up to date employment law and compliance knowledge.

  • Has experience of the people aspects of acquisitions (onboarding and integration).

  • Shows absolute, unbreakable discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters and has sound judgement and problem solving abilities.

  • Has experience of, or interest in, progressive organisational models such as decentralised control.

  • Zooms in on the detail and improve processes, but also thinks strategically to anticipate future needs that will support business growth.
