We are looking for a Principal Power Transmission Network Analyst to be based in our Edinburgh office on a full-time basis. Reporting to the VP Innovation UK you will be responsible for power transmission network analysis with respect to our projects and product roadmap.

You’ll thrive if you

  • Are qualified to MSc or PhD level, with 15 or more years’ experience.

  • Have substantial experience of HV, MV and LV power transmission network analysis.

  • Bring operational experience including fault handling, contingency and allocation optimisation.

  • Have a working knowledge of FACTS devices, renewable energy and HVDC.

  • Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to bring others together and facilitate collaborative working.

  • Enjoy teaching and coaching others who can learn from your experience.

  • Have a natural ability to think outside of the box.

  • Are comfortable working in a non-hierarchical organisational structure and enjoy the innovation that stems from decentralised control.
