Faraday Grid is growing rapidly and building a presence in markets around the world. As part of this growth, the company is significantly expanding its events activities to promote the company to multiple global audiences.
The main areas of focus of the Events Associate is to own and deliver key corporate events on a regular basis in markets where Faraday Grid is active, covering internal events as well as externally facing events.
The successful candidate will collaborate with; Branding, Marketing, Business Development, Engineering, Executives + external stakeholders. The role will be Edinburgh-based with occasional worldwide travel.
You will make an impact by
Sourcing, budgeting, hiring and liaising with local stakeholders, particularly vendors and venues to ensure smooth internal preparation in the lead-up to the events
Working with the relevant departments of Faraday Grid to clarify responsibilities across teams and assist organizing external support if needed, e.g. transport, event set up, etc.
Supporting efficient collaboration on tasks concerning various internal and external teams, such as assembly of invite lists, event set up, etc.
Developing and owning clear timelines for each of the events outlining all event-related deliverables of departments of Faraday, parallel with those of external stakeholders
Identifying which marketing materials would support key events and how these can be repurposed for internal audiences
Working in close collaboration with the rest of the Communications team to map the communications and brand agenda to support launch events
Overseeing events on the day of events; including coordinating event set-up, communicating with staff, directing vendors, and managing take-down

Have demonstrable experience and in-depth competence in management of large-scale events and development of marketing materials
Have thorough knowledge and understanding of customer service best practice
Are able to work against key strategic communications and marketing objectives
Are well-organized, reliable, able to work effectively and professionally under pressure and deliver quality results in short time
Work effectively in a multicultural team, demonstrating cultural awareness and excellent communication skills in multicultural, multi-lingual environments
Maintain confidentiality of information (written or oral)
Demonstrate reliability, transparency, open-mindedness, aspiration and rigour
Are proficient in use of Microsoft Office and flexible learning of company channels
Desirably, have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in business management, hospitality management, marketing or related areas
