- Faraday Grid expands senior team as company prepares for expansion into new markets
- Peter Lo joins as Chief Operating Officer, Jim Darroch joins as Chief Supply Chain Officer, Greg Arnot joins as Director of Marketing for Europe
Systems design company Faraday Grid Limited (“Faraday Grid” or “Faraday”) has made a series of senior hires as the company continues to build its global presence and develop commercial partnerships.
Peter Lo joins Faraday Grid as Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the company. He was previously Director of New Energy at CLP Holdings, one of the largest investor-owned power businesses in Asia Pacific and a large vertically integrated utility in Hong Kong where he has been responsible for scouting, scanning and catalysing of new business models and technologies in the new energy space. With over 20 years’ experience, Peter has also held executive positions across the life cycle of power assets including M&A, joint ventures, green/ brown field project development, PR, portfolio asset management, construction, commissioning and operations with broad international experience.
Jim Darroch joins as Chief Supply Chain Officer and will be responsible for building and overseeing the company’s global supply chain operations. He has 30 years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain working directly with world leading global technology companies. Prior to joining Faraday Grid, Jim worked for Foxconn Electronics based in the Czech Republic where he was Vice President of European Operations leading large-scale end-to-end supply operations and several business transformation projects.
Greg Arnot joins Faraday Grid as Director of Marketing, Europe and will oversee the company’s marketing initiatives in that geography. He has been involved in the energy and technology sectors throughout his career having worked for Motorola Semiconductor at their European headquarters in East Kilbride, before spending ten years at Hewlett Packard in Barcelona in a variety of marketing and business development roles. After moving to California to launch the U.S. operations of Spanish solar monitoring business Greenpowermonitor, Greg returned to the UK to take up the position of Marketing Director in the Partner Enablement Group of Arm Holdings.

These appointments come at a time of rapid expansion for Faraday Grid. Following the company’s global launch in December 2017, it is accelerating its route to commercialisation through a partnership with Power Networks Demonstration Centre, a world-class smart grid test facility based in central Scotland. The company is also planning to open its U.S. office later this year.
