Faraday Grid establishes Czech Innovation Centre as part of ongoing global expansion

Faraday Grid, the energy technology company, is delighted to announce that it has established its first Innovation Centre in the Czech Republic as it continues its rapid global expansion.

Having acquired two innovative businesses in the Czech Republic, Faraday Grid welcomes a team of approximately 100 experts in a range of disciplines, spanning data science, artificial intelligence, IoT, software, power electronics, mechanical, electrical, control systems marketing and business development. The new pool of talent will advance the development of Faraday Grid’s technology and accompanying services.

This milestone marks the latest major step in the Faraday Grid’s global strategy following the opening of Innovation Centres in Edinburgh, UK in 2017 and Washington, D.C. in 2018. Faraday Grid seeks to bring sustainable prosperity to everyone by providing clean, affordable and reliable energy, and to make the electricity grid a platform of permissionless innovation.

Andrew Scobie, Founder & CEO of Faraday Grid, said: “Faraday Grid continues to grow rapidly and we are pleased to establish our first Innovation Centre in mainland Europe. Our new colleagues in the Czech Republic have a wealth of expertise and knowledge in new areas, while sharing our goal of bringing clean, affordable and reliable energy to everyone. Our teams are fully aligned from a strategic and cultural perspective, and I’m looking forward to ramping up the capabilities and services that a larger Faraday Grid can provide.”
